If your intranet site or web site requires visitors to log on with a username and password, you can use the Authenticated Username filter to include or exclude authenticated users from analysis and reporting.

Authenticated Username
Enter the authenticated username(s) you want to either include or exclude in your filter. Separate multiple names with a single space. Put quotation marks around names that contain spaces. (See examples below.)

Include\Exclude All Hits From Authenticated Users
Select this check box if you want only authenticated users filtered.

Case Sensitive Match
Select this check box if you want to look for exact case matches.

Authenticated Username Examples
Example Result
“Jane Smith” Filters any activity that matches Jane Smith from the report.
“Bob Smith” “Mike Macintosh” “ John Hill” Any activity that matches these user names is filtered.

*Note: If you have not been granted full administrative rights in WebTrends Reporting Center, or if you are a WebTrends Reporting Service or Log Analyzer user, you may not be able to configure or use this feature. Please see your administrator if you have any questions.
