Authentication is the process of verifying the user's identity at logon. The Reporting Center provides two methods of authentication, OS authentication and Custom (the built-in authentication database).

To change the authentication method:
  1. From the Administration menu at the top of the WRC AdminConsole, select Web Server Configuration. You see the Web Server Configuration dialog box.

  2. From the Authentication drop-down list, select the method for authenticating users when they log in. If you select Operating System, the user must have an account on the machine. If you select Custom, you must define the passwords for the users.
