WebTrends Certified Engineer

Program Summary
As a WebTrends partner you are critical to the success of our customers. In many cases you are responsible for the implementation of our solutions and the first line of support for customers world-wide. The WebTrends Certification Engineer Program was design to provide you with the most in-depth technical understanding of the WebTrends Analytics products available today. Currently it is only being offered to our partners and is intended to enable you to maximize your end-users investment in WebTrends. The program is an intensive five-day training session that includes a certification exam.

Program Audience
This class is geared toward partners/administrators of WebTrends who are responsible for installing and/or configuring WebTrends solutions. The class is appropriate for anyone desiring in-depth insight into report configuration, tagging strategy, WebTrends administration, system optimization, and installation.

Program Agenda

• An in-depth review of the technology behind WebTrends solutions and features and their real world applications.
• A review of troubleshooting and best practices for implementation and transparent redundancy for data retention and integrity.
• Resource management best practices to develop a scalable, sustainable, and robust web analytics strategy.
• An understanding of how to best exploit the strengths of WebTrends solutions to provide deliverables to fulfill business requirements.
• In depth technical details of WebTrends' web analytics technology and architecture.
• Granular technical details of capturing web data to develop comprehensive and actionable analytics reports.
• Comprehensive technical understanding of how data is captured and then recorded in the log files and the impact to reporting.
• In depth understanding of reporting data that enables WebTrends administrators to deliver a reporting strategy that is capable of discerning valued data from non-valued data.
• Configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of web site tagging and the WebTrends tag server (SDC)
• You will also set up a website and tag it and set up a tagging server (SDC) to capture traffic to your website and analyze the log files that are generated to produce specified standard and custom reporting solutions.

Program Exam
At the conclusion the training you will be given the option to take the WebTrends Certified Engineer Exam. It is a two-hour exam that tests an individual's knowledge of the technical components of the WebTrends Analytics program and custom reporting knowledge required in order to support WebTrends solutions. You will receive a WebTrends Certified Engineer certification upon successful completion of the exam.
