Are you interested in working with a highly collaborative user experience team to make cutting-edge HTML5 web applications? Here at Webtrends, we work with massive amounts of data and our challenge is to transform data into meaningful information through compelling data visualizations and user experiences. We are looking for an innovative web application developer who loves to collaborate, seeks out new approaches, and has an intuitive sense for the user. You must have a great attitude (work hard, laugh hard, constantly impress). We are not looking for a code monkey. We need a code ninja.

Team

You will work within the User Experience Team which includes information design, interactive design, as well as additional web application developers.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for setting up projects quickly and efficiently, managing underlying business logic, working with internal and external APIs, and implementing client-side scripting. Webtrends uses agile development methodologies in parallel with current web standards technologies. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Architecting front-end interfaces based on user tested prototypes.
  • Contributing to and maintaining a central pattern library.
  • Working closely with interactive designers and information architects. Working with the larger product team.

Required:

  • Web standards development experience: CSS3, HTML5, jQuery, AJAX.
  • Expertise with Javascript/JQuery.
  • Experience building web applications using MVC frameworks.
  • Experience working with various types of APIs, including web service data layers.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Online portfolio/resume with links to work examples.

Bonus Points:
  • ASP .NET MVC experience.
  • Impressive C# prowess.
  • Experience releasing web applications and/or software.
  • Paper prototyping, rapid prototyping, and user testing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
