Webtrends is the leader in web analytics. As a Webtrends Quality Engineer you will be responsible for reviewing existing product specifications and test plans; creating test plans, test cases, and test procedures; execution of test plan using manual checklists and/or automated scripts, and applying and maintaining quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop test cases, test plans, test matrices, and test suites for various components of Webtrends Ad Director product.
- Execute grey-box tests, report results, and coordinate test execution efforts.
- Work closely with QA team, product management, project management and development engineers to help identify and isolate problem areas in the product.
- Ensure all defects found are correctly documented and resolved appropriately.
- Continually look for ways to improve the process of developing and releasing quality software which meets our customers' needs.
Interaction:
This position operates in a team-oriented environment. As a result, the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships within QA and across functional teams in product development, and client-facing teams.
Supervision:
This is an individual contributor position.
Required Skills/Education:
- BS in Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Must be detail oriented with experience in one or more areas of test automation, quality assurance and web server technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong software design verification and test development instincts and creativity.
- Understanding of software product life cycle and software development processes.
- Knowledge of scripting and SQL languages.
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ years experience in quality engineering and software test development.
- Experience in SEM, SEO and web analytics.
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Working knowledge of Selenium web application testing system.
- Experience with a test case management system (preferably Testlink).
- Experience with virtual machines.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
Working Conditions:
The position is located in San Bruno. Travel is minimal. The job involves extensive time working at a computer.
Incumbent must pass background check.
